The attended day-course |
Description |
The one‐day regional training event will focus on the practical aspects of applying the 16 new/amended specific only to the BSS hire boat requirements 2017. |
Morning |
Arrive 09:15 ready for a prompt start at 09:30. Coffee/tea will be available on arrival and throughout the morning session. The morning session will last 3 hours and will cover around half of the new checks. It will involve one visit to a hire boat. |
Lunch |
12:30 -13:15 – Lunch – a buffet lunch is provided |
Afternoon |
The afternoon session will start promptly at 13:30. Coffee/tea will be available during the afternoon. The afternoon session will last 3 hours and will cover around half of the new checks. It will involve one visit to a hire boat. The course is scheduled to end between 16:30 and 16:45. |

Post-learning Assessment |

After you have attended the day-course you will need to complete and pass the Post-learning Assessment by answering correctly a second series of multiple choice questions and inserting free text into text boxes online. Note that examiners will not be authorised to carry out hire boat BSS examinations after April 2017 until they have successfully completed the Post-learning Assessment. |
